We are currently seeking a Summer Intern, Sales to join our team based in Informa’s San Francisco office. Our Sales team is made up of colleagues from varying backgrounds located across the globe. As a member of the Sales team, you’ll be responsible for identifying information and process improvements that drive growth and revenue. In this role, you will:
Own and deliver value-adding projects in service of the Sales team’s strategy and objectives
Support with ad hoc requests as needed
Provide a fresh perspective on department processes and procedures
Participate in Internship Program activities including onboarding, information sessions, and social events
Research companies across the IT industry to provide insights into how they are positioned, competitive set, marketing efforts, their revenue focus and more to aid the reps as they seek to be successful consultative sellers.
Research and identity competitive and complementary events, sites, Linkedin groups and other avenues to provide net new prospects and potential products of interest.
Work closely with our sales team to aid them in developing stronger value-based relationships with their clients and prospects.
Investigate new and compelling advertising and marketing services opportunities that are applicable to our business.
Seek new contacts and organizational charts of customers and prospects to enable reps to penetrate accounts more deeply.
Support the implementation of sales systems and technologies that contribute to a unified Sales process.
Ensure the integrity of data in Salesforce and inventory management systems across the business.
Contribute to customer experience by ensuring successful fulfilment of sponsorship/exhibit programs for physical and virtual events.
Qualifications
Legally permitted to work in the United States
Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program pursuing a related degree at an accredited 4-year college or university
Minimum of two years of relevant coursework completed
Minimum 3.2 cumulative collegiate grade point average, on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent
Demonstrated leadership experience through participation in on-campus activities, educational forums and/or prior work experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and possess the ability to quickly learn new software/platforms
Ability to be analytical, solve problems and recommendation viable solutions
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to learn, ask questions, and collaborate with others
Ability to move quickly, keep projects on track, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
