    Information Security Engineer

    Role Summary

    The Information Security Engineer is a technical security professional responsible for supporting security operations, engineering, and architecture activities for Our Client. This role contributes to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization’s systems, applications, and data. Working under the direction of the Manager of Information Security, the position plays a hands-on role in day-to-day security operations in support of enterprise IT objectives and client service delivery.

    What You’ll Do

    • Analyze security logs and events and take appropriate action to address security risks, incidents, and alerts using endpoint, SIEM, and log aggregation tools.
    • Execute and monitor vulnerability management activities to reduce IT hygiene risks impacting production systems.
    • Maintain and manage assigned security tools that support detection, prevention, and response to security events and incidents.
    • Support security incident response and investigation efforts as directed.
    • Validate and track IT operational activities to ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and applicable requirements.
    • Research and identify security vulnerabilities and relevant cybersecurity trends, and recommend follow-up actions.
    • Report on security events, metrics, and remediation activities.
    • Support third-party risk management, security awareness training, and IT compliance initiatives as assigned.
    • Participate in the IT Security on-call rotation.
    • Advise on security architecture and standards by evaluating technologies, reviewing applications, and SaaS solutions for security impact, and contributing to security policies and procedures.

    Required Qualifications

    • Four-year college degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
    • At least three (3) years of experience in information security or related IT roles with security responsibilities.
    • Experience with Windows, Unix/Linux, and Active Directory environments.
    • Understanding of core networking protocols, including TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, and HTTP/HTTPS.
    • Knowledge of security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, application security, and cloud security.
    • Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
    • Ability to leverage artificial intelligence tools in daily work.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
    • Strong judgment, professionalism, and discretion in handling confidential information.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Flexibility to work additional hours as needed and willingness to travel periodically.
