  • Responsibilities

    Information Systems Solutions (ISS) is looking for a candidate to provide HBSS support on the Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) network supporting a U.S. Government Customer. The selected candidate will work as the lead HBSS Engineer for a customer managing physical and virtual Windows servers.

    Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Manage, maintain, patch Windows servers (physical and virtual) in support of the HBSS infrastructure.
    • Guide HBSS team in deployment and development strategies, oversee troubleshooting of issues, and liaising with internal and external entities.
    • Responsible for all testing and deploying of HBSS modules and ePolicy Orchestrator to support current operating systems on RDT&E network (Windows, MacOS, and Linux).
    • Manage all HBSS modules and policies in compliance with current Operational Orders and STIG.
    • Develop and maintain standard operation procedures (SOPs).
    • Responsible for troubleshooting any issues related to module deployment on Windows, MacOS, and Linux endpoints.
    • Coordinate and communicate all major module and policy changes with RDT&E Network management and stakeholders.
    • Experience with HBSS HIPS signature review and verification of signature and exceptions.
    • Experience with Application Whitelisting utilizing McAfee Solidcore/Application Control.

    Certifications (IAT Level II)

    One of the following:

    • Security+ CE
    • GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
    • Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP)
    • System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)

    and one of the following:

    • MCITP (Enterprise Administrator)- Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP): Enterprise Administrator on Windows Server 2008
    • MCITP (Server Administrator) - Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP): Server Administrator on Windows Server 2008
    • MCSA - Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator
    • MCSE - Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer

    Required Skills

    • 5+ Years of Experience with Windows Systems
    • Experience with Windows

    Desired Skills

    • Experience with Linux environment
    • Knowledge of ITIL processes and ITIL Certification
