Information Systems Solutions (ISS) is looking for a candidate to provide Linux Systems Administration support on a Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) network supporting a US Government Customer. The selected candidate will work on primarily Linux systems, VMWare ESXi servers and VMs (SECRET and UNCLAS, production and test environment), ensuring all assets are up to date and issues are resolved promptly to avoid asset quarantines.In addition, they will have responsibility for a small number of Windows based machines.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Establish and maintain multiple environments for Maritime Tactical Command and Control software, to include:
• Development
• Integration
• Stand-alone test (SECRET and UNCLAS)
• SWAN operational test
• Cloud-based
• Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network devices - firewalls, routers, and switches
• Installing and configuring workstations and servers.
• Installing required applications on Linux hosts and servers
• Performing required IA scanning and applying STIGs as required
• Patching and troubleshooting hosts
• Maintenance of routers, switches, and firewalls
• Tier I/II end user support for those working on the project network

Note: Flex time/ overtime requested to support high-level demonstrations for Navy leadership.

• Security+ CE
• GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
• Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP)
• System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)

Required Skills

• 5+ Years of Experience with Server Virtualization and Networking

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of ITIL processes and ITIL Certification
• Experience with the IAVM process
• Linux & Microsoft experience or certification
• Knowledge of Nutanix
