    GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:

    The Director IT manages the planning and development of new and existing business applications and oversees the coding, testing, debugging, documenting, maintenance, and installation to support the business needs of internal and external customers. This position oversees business tracks such as Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Manufacturing, Accounting and Quality applications used within the DFV enterprise. This position also reviews the data architecture, meets business needs for reports and integrations between critical applications such as JDE, Mainframe and other systems deployed within DFV.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

    • IT Applications Management and Administration

    o Manages the planning and development of new and existing business applications such as JDE, DC Connect and other critical applications including, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, maintenance, and installation. Ensures that relevant considerations are included in the design and operation of enterprise IT systems.

    o Manages the development of detailed technical specifications to meet business functional requirements.

    o Drives efforts to document complex user requirements, business process flow, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify systems.

    o Ensures that IT support activities are monitored, logged, tracked, and resolved appropriately and in a timely manner. Coordinates with appropriate technical, professional or service personnel to resolve continuing problems using current technology.

    o Works with Plant engineering team very closely to deliver on business requirements that involve cross-functional team engagement. This includes working with Infrastructure Team, Engineering Team, Quality, Plant Operations, Accounting and Purchasing Team.

    o Prepares and presents activities and progress reports regarding the department's projects and ongoing operations.

    • Technology and Integration

    o Assist/Build the Technology platform necessary to support the IT enterprise applications landscape. This includes working with the infrastructure team on systems provisioning for delivery of various Technology solutions (RICE – Reports, Integrations Customization and Extensions) and ensuring successful delivery for various business areas.

    o Deliver robustly and efficiently plant applications such as DC Connect needs for various business functions within DFV.

    o Leads delivery of cutting-edge data and system integration process for a seamless flow of data between various IT business systems.

    o Keeps abreast of technological changes and innovations in the information business applications/systems field and provides technical support and direction.

    o Develops and recommends changes to systems, policies, and procedures; ensures timely and accurate implementation

    o Leads efforts towards building a IT team that is well versed with modern IT frameworks, design patterns and delivers in an Agile approach.

    • Project Management

    o Manage and shape the objectives and implementation plans for Enterprise IT Applications.

    o Maintain portfolio of projects, in concert with project management resources where appropriate

    o Set realistic expectations, identify appropriate resources (internal and external) and provide oversight to the implementation teams to ensure successful execution.

    o Develop budget and ensures compliance including long-range planning of projects and provide updates to IT and Business Leadership.

    Required Skills

    ** JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:**

    • 15+ years’ experience in enterprise applications such as JDE and DC Connect deploying and configuring applications as per business needs.

    • Experience in a management position overseeing a staff and/or mixed with managing 3rd parties.

    • Demonstrated experience in successful projects execution in working with multiple cross functional business functions.

    • Domain understanding and functional knowledge in at least three of the following areas: Financials, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations, Planning, Sales.

    • Ability to effectively present information and communicate findings, conclusions, and recommendations to business management. Able to respond effectively to questions from managers, customers, peers, and vendors.

    • Ability to perform systems analysis tasks including logic flow charts, decision trees, work process flow analysis, data flow analysis, logical data modeling and statistical analysis including sample statistics, trend analysis and queue analysis.

    • Strong knowledge of JDE, DC Connect, SCADA and COLOS and problem-solving skills to understand business needs and configure applications to meet business requirements.

    • Strong knowledge of Integrations, systems and design patterns.

    • Ability to motivate others to achieve the required business results and provide training for other staff members.

    • Team Builder with the ability to bring cross-functional teams together for a common goal.

    • Change Leader and successful demonstration of delivering projects in an Agile manner.

    • Self-starter, ability to learn and adapt quickly. Highly motivated. Committed to see problems through to resolution.

    • Consumer Packaged Goods/Food industry experience is beneficial.

    • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills in the English language.

    PHYSIC _ AL REQUIREMENTS:_

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, talk or hear to communicate, as well as maneuver around an array of equipment, bend, stoop and climb stairs.

    • The employee must occasionally lift (including overhead) and/or up to 15 lbs.

    WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ability to work beyond normal working hours (member of the after-hours support team; may be expected to work beyond the normal hours of duty where system failure or upgrade requires the knowledge and experience possessed).

    • Ability to travel < 35%

    Required Experience

    EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

    · Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science , Business Administration, CIS/MIS, Mathematics, or Engineering from four-year college or university.

    · MBA/Master's a plus (not required).

    PAY RATE:

    • $180,000 - $190,000 Annually
