    Job Description

    THE POSITION: We’re looking for a Level One IT Operations  (Systems) Engineer with a thoughtful approach, a level head and can-do attitude. The pay range is based on the skills that the individual brings to the opportunity. (NOTE: This is an on-site position and will require applicant to show proof of Covid vaccination.)

    SUMMARY: The following list is representative of duties that are typical to the position. It is not comprehensive and other job-related duties may be assigned 

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    ·       Reporting to Facilities management to perform equipment configurations, updates, repairs, restorations and deployments.  Assist with inventory storage and tracking. (Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds)

    ·       Ensure, and update detailed inventory and configuration documentation.

    ·       Perform common daily monitoring, maintenance and support tasks to critical infrastructure components.

    ·       Ensure system backups are completed update monitor reports and utilizations.

    ·       Ensure operational compliance with system security policies and procedures; backup and recovery procedures; system maintenance procedures.

    ·       Provide escalated support to support staff receiving support calls and monitor alerts. REQUIRES FLEXIBILITY IN HOURS/SHIFT on occasion.

    ·       Utilize existing tools to perform remote administration, configuration based on projects and support tickets.

    ·       Manage and Support VMware ESX environment, supporting all configuration changes and updates.

    ·       Use of move-to-production requests for the shared computing infrastructure.

    ·       Facilitate all system upgrades; ensuring operational preparedness once installed.

    ·       Monitor infrastructure and server performance; remediate issues.

    ·       Respond to system issues and resolve any communication issues within the confines of the office.

    ·       Update the maintenance schedule and submit a summary of changes to management

    ·       Collaborate with third-party support and service vendors to ensure that the network stays operational.

    ·       Participate in on-call rotation with other team members.

    ·       May have occasional opportunity to travel to customer sites to participate in major installations or upgrades,

    THE LOCATION: Information Technology Partners’ Headquarters is conveniently located in Burbank, CA, off the 5 freeway, near Bob Hope Airport.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    ·       Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience

    ·       3+years’ experience in managing shared computing infrastructure

    ·       3+ years’ experience in network component support and management

    ·       Experience troubleshooting and supporting remote systems and working with technical and non-technical users

    ·       Understanding of Microsoft Server 2012/2016 R2, Active Directory; Windows10

    ·       Knowledge of supporting and configuration with VMWare 6.x in enterprise environments

    ·       Support and Deployment of Wireless networking

    ·       Ability to remotely troubleshoot technology infrastructure problems and lead to resolution

    ·       Must have physical abilities and skills required. Lift up to fifty pounds, visual acuity to read and write, including color vision. Manual dexterity to perform tasks by hand, including data entry into computer systems, building IT units, running/pulling wiring/cables. Able to walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, lift overhead, sit for extended periods. Able to hear, speak and understand English and follow instructions given in writing or verbally. Other, job-related, physical activities as required.
