IT Infrastructure Operations Manager
Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
An individual that is knowledge in technology infrastructure/networking, who can fully plan and lead a team that executes IT operational activities. We are responsible for the day-to-day operational care for all aspects of the technology infrastructure; power management, switching, routing, wide area networking, security posture alignment, servers and storage, hypervisors, relational databases, patching, monitoring, client devices, mobile devices, security, conditional access, backups/recovery, etc.
We do not wish to be disrespectful—but for everyone’s benefit, please understand our need to be direct. Just because you can spell “server”, or you were an End User Help Desk technician does not mean you can lead a team of talented infrastructure engineers and interface with our clients. We seek the person that ABSOLUTELY UNDERSTANDS INFRASTRUCTURE TECHNOLOGY AND THE RELATED OPERATIONAL CARE well enough to be a full participant in planning and managing these activities. If you have never managed a change control process in a technology maintenance window—you are not our desired candidate. You must have the discipline to remain the manager and let the system engineering/network operations staff execute the tasks. A high degree of professionalism, attention to detail, and expert communication skill is required as this position interfaces directly with our clients. You also must be able to lead and inspire people—a forever humbling and selfless pursuit we think is critical to building and maintaining a world class team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Planning for Full Lifecycle Operational Care for Onsite Site Data Rooms
Planning for Full Lifecycle Operational Care for Onsite Networks
Manage/Lead Infrastructure Systems Engineers located throughout the US
Server as the Operational Lead/Interface for Assigned Customers
Manage Production and Maintenance Window Operational Work Streams
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree or higher
· 3+ Years in an Infrastructure Operations Coordinator/Manager Role
· Detailed knowledge and awareness of technology infrastructure/network
· Genuine caring for people (we can’t add this to you—you have to bring it)
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Ability to lead and manage a team
· Desire to make your team and the company the best in the world
