  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of account information in a database system; including but not limited to compiling data and entering data in Excel and working with QuickBooks.
    • Ensure financial information and accounting records are accurate and up to date.
    • Maintain accounting databases and spreadsheets.
    • Retrieve invoices by mail and email, and ensure they are recorded accurately in excel and QuickBooks.
    • Review invoices for accuracy, and post and pay invoices.
    • Verify invoices are approved for payment.
    • Work with internal departments to gather, verify, and record details concerning billing matters for clients.
    • Review and confirm billable hours for company employees with project management team.
    • Gather, enter, and verify reimbursement receipts for employee expenses, ensuring reimbursements align with company policy.
    • Call vendors to retrieve missing invoices, perform reconciliation on vendor invoices, and resolve discrepancies.
    • Code expenses to General Ledger.
    • Input Accounts Receivable information and create invoices.
    • Ensure AR invoices accurately reflect the correct details and amount due.
    • Perform bank reconciliations.
    • Enter credit card information and perform reconciliation on credit cards.
    • Perform account audits.
    • Sales tax preparation and reporting
    • Preparation of payroll.
    • Assist with preparation of state and federal tax forms, as needed.
    • Write journal entries.
    • Create accounting reports, including audit reports of accounts, AP aging reports, or AR aging reports.
    • Assist with chart of accounts analysis as needed.
    • Researches and analyzes financial variances.
    • Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
    • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of accounting experience required.
    • Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
    • Experience in GAAP is a must.
    • QuickBooks experience and intermediate excel skills required.
    • Must have data entry skills
    • Needs to know how to use Microsoft office products
    • Attention to detail, producing accurate and high-quality work
    • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to meet deadlines and be able to thrive in a fast-paced, high demand work environment.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    The pay is based on the local market and on the skills that the individual brings to the opportunity as a Full Charge Bookkeeper. Generally in the $25-30/hour range DOE.
