    Job Description

An individual that is knowledgeable in information technology infrastructure/networking—and specifically the security issues/implications of its design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance/care.  This includes securing and monitoring all aspects of the technology infrastructure; power management, switching, routing, wide area networking, security posture alignment, servers and storage, hypervisors, relational databases, patching, client devices, mobile devices, user authentication, etc.

We do not wish to be disrespectful—but for everyone’s benefit, please understand our need to be direct.  Just because you can spell “security”, or you have installed advanced threat protection on fifty desktops in your last position does not mean you can lead a team of talented infrastructure engineers and interface with our clients regarding patching, securing, monitoring, and responding to threat actor activity in an enterprise IT environment.  We seek the person that HAS A DEEP UNDERSTANDING OF TECHNOLOGY SECURITY AND THE RELATED TOOL SETS, PERSISTENT MONITORING AND ALERTING, AND INCIDENT RESPONSE PROTOCOLS. YOU MUST BE A FULL PARTICIPANT IN PLANNING AND EXECUTING THESE ACTIVITIES. If you have never participated in a structured security incident response process—you are not our desired candidate.  You must have the discipline to remain ever vigilant in a “one breach is too many” world. A high degree of professionalism, attention to detail, and expert communication skills are required as this position interfaces directly with our clients.
