    ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP

    This individual leads the Inventory Strategy & Analytics function for the Europe and Japan Online markets and will partner and influence market leads across Buying, Production, Marketing, and Company Planning. This individual will help guide the Sr. Analyst – Global GOL Reporting & Analytics to create and implement sustainable processes and tools to be utilized across Gap Global Online. This Manager will also partner with the Inventory Strategy Senior Director on new initiatives and innovation and share best practices across all Gap Online markets, as well as cross-channel and cross-brand, as a leader of Gap Global Online Inventory Strategy. This individual will represent and integrate GOL Buying in brand operations conversations and identify and educate business partners on milestone hurdles and /or GOL participation constraints. This Manager will lead and inspire functional team to be: product obsessed, customer-focused, innovative, fast-moving and team-oriented.


    • Provide Buying leads with relevant data and analytic inputs to drive inventory optimization decisions tied to pre and in-season business needs.

    • Help shape new processes and lead implementation of new practices and tool sets that improve efficiency, capability, and maximize return back to the business.

    • Assess needs of global GOL Buying org and help support the team by providing the resources needed to make effective decisions and drive results.

    • Support with Ops work needed to ensure global GOL + GFOL delivers against set timeline and represents global GOL + GFOL needs with NY partners.

    • Develop key initiatives into strategies and strategies into results through structured approach, rigorous analysis, and proactive communication.

    • Build collaborative relationships with GOL leadership and other brand stakeholders.

    • BA/BS or equivalent experience required

    • Minimum 5 years Inventory Management experience; Planning experience preferred.

    • Understanding of retail industry. Apparel and/or Gap Inc. experience a plus.

    • Ability to negotiate, influence, and drive change across all levels of the organization, as well as develop and maintain strong working relationships with peers and cross-functional partners.

    • Demonstrated strong ability to influence business partners to drive results.

    • Proven ability to prioritize and focus on key initiatives to drive the business.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • Demonstrated ability to approach all tasks with a problem-solving mindset; proactively identify areas of opportunity or risk, while providing a path to mitigate this risk.

    • Experience on projects with complex scope with system and process implementations across an organization.

    • Expertise in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with obtaining data from various data sources. Must be able to create and use pivot tables, filters, lookup functions, etc
