    ABOUT HORIZON
The Horizon Team at Meta is building a social User Generated Content (UCG) platform where people can find people, places, and things they care about -- a Metaverse without constraints where people have freedom of identity and expression, and can experience living virtual worlds that could not exist in the real world. Our vision is to build a global-scale UGC platform where the world’s creators, performers, entrepreneurs and more will be able to create their place, and enable their communities to connect, engage and play in all kinds of ways. We are driven to create a safe and compelling metaverse for never-ending exploration -- our journey is just the beginning, come join us.

ABOUT THE GAMES & PATHFINDING TEAMS
The Games team creates high-quality experiences that expand the capabilities of Horizon’s tools and enable creators to make engaging games. The team also creates worlds that delight players and inspire creators to build their own player communities.

The Pathfinding team focuses on the most ambiguous problem areas and enables product teams across Meta to shape their own 2-5 year visions, map out a pathway to success, and inspire confidence in what they’re building.

    ROLE OVERVIEW
Design Program Managers at Meta are passionate connectors and problem solvers. By supporting the various aspects of the Horizon Creative team, you will enable Product Designers, Game Designers, and Prototypers to focus their time on designing, building, and shipping products. You will improve team communication, collaboration, and remove roadblocks. Finally, you'll utilize a full range of organizational and interpersonal skills to help keep our teams on track, execute specific design initiatives intended to grow team culture, industry expertise, and team impact, and you'll have an opportunity to work with cross-functional teams as you establish great ways of working together.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
The role will support the Horizon Games Team and Pathfinding pillar with a primary focus on the following:

    * Provide ongoing operational support for projects from ideation through execution. Includes roadmap planning, milestone breakdown, resource management, facilitating Design Reviews, and driving collaboration within teams across Horizon, Reality Labs, and Meta
    * Drive large, cross-company design sprints. Responsibilities include sprint planning, recruiting participants, managing and assigning design tasks, coordinating across disciplines (Product Design, Prototyping, Art, and Sound Design), identifying deliverables required for execution, playtesting, publishing sprint outcomes and ensuring timely follow-up and completion of work
    * Help the teams improve their operational effectiveness by identifying and addressing issues with workflows or tooling, set and measure performance goals, and fostering a collaborative, creative community
    * Facilitate meetings to drive progress against goals and objectives, and establish clear next steps and owners while resolving blocks that impede progress
    * Proactively assess risk, raise flags, and resolve issues before they become problems for the larger teams
    * Support the management team with effective team communication, proactive problem solving, information distribution
    * Define and measure impact of programs and initiatives both qualitatively and quantitatively
    * Source and manage operational budgets, vendor relationships, and contracts
    * Develop and maintain a strong and positive team culture through the organization and facilitation of regular team meetings, Design crits, and (in-person / remote) team building / social activities
    * Help new hires get up to speed on how Meta, Reality Labs, and the Horizon team operates by organizing Designer onboarding and training

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    * Minimum 10 years of experience as a program manager, digital producer, or project manager with experience establishing programs, supporting design teams, and developing relationships
    * Experience working on 0-to-1 products, executing design sprints with many stakeholders, supporting project roadmapping, prototyping, user research, and resource planning required
    * Experience as a Producer or Program Manager at a game studio preferred
    * Experience working directly with Product Designers, UX Researchers, and Content Designers
    * Track record of operating independently and without oversight
    * Experience leading product or business strategy in a fast-paced environment
    * Experience using data to identify problems and communicate solutions
