As a Content Program Manager with our team, you will be one of the people our internal partners at Oculus will come to with questions about all things content. With the knowledge you have gained attending cross functional meetings, conversations with content owners, information gathered from other sources, you will proactively push out information to Oculus stakeholders on a regular cadence. You will be a key owner in the events process - shepherding demos and assets to completion and participating in strategy discussions for key events.
Responsibilities
Point of contact for content that is in development and live on our platform
Proactive communication to internal stakeholders highlighting risks, concerns and blockers
Partnering with Content and Marketing teams to identify the right content to showcase at events, secure asset and build approvals required and partner with Oculus Events team to get titles ready for events we are showcasing
Ability to parse through multiple sources of information and pull the right information to share out
Developing and maintaining relationships with our internal teams and 3rd party developers
Holding data owners accountable to providing status updates
Understanding of products and experiences being shipped in VR across all platforms
Ability to speak to titles during cross functional meetings and flag strategies that may have operational risk
Own and manage the in-depth approval process and request queue coming from all our XFN partners
Ability to speak to the Content Team’s strategy and provide valuable strategic input, while at the same time having an ‘operations first’ mindset
Understand nuances in developer communications and how to deliver and manage sensitive and/or private information
Key Qualifications
5+ years experience in project management, game development or related field
Detail-oriented mindset with an analytical view on process, able to identify opportunities and actions needed to improve how we work as a team
Demonstrated passion for video games and familiar with multiple genres of VR, PC and/or console games
Solid understanding of technical specifications for digital and print assets (i.e. resolution standards, file formats, etc) AND PC hardware and software (graphics cards, memory, storage, display adapters, general PC gaming hardware knowledge)
Experience with new hardware consumer launches, and familiarity in handling new types of proprietary software
Above average proficiency in Windows (command line, file structure, permissions, etc.)
Ability to handle assignments and information of a confidential nature
Can thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain focused while juggling multiple tasks and assignment
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
