    Job Description: Facebook is seeking a news media professional to join the News Partnerships team as a Program Manager. This role will identify, plan and execute programs that deliver business value to publishers in the US and around the world in coordination with other FJP staff.

    A demonstrated passion for the news and publishing industry and how it intersects with technology are musts for this job. An understanding of news business models and where opportunities lie for partners building a business on Facebook is key. Some background in operating training programs is helpful but not required.

    The Media Partnerships team is the external arm of Facebook and works with the world’s largest and most exciting organizations on high-profile projects across the full suite of Facebook Inc. products.

    Responsibilities

    • Contribute to the development, execution and scaling of programs that support news partner businesses. Be an internal advocate for news partners.
    • Establish strong third party partner relationships. Build strong cross-functional relationships within Facebook, working across time zones and departments to build workable solutions for partners and Facebook.

      Minimum Qualifications
    • Communication and presentation experience and experience clarifying and summarizing issues
    • 5+ years of experience in news or publishing, audience engagement, partner management and/or business development
    • Project management experience, with experience leading and handling multiple time-sensitive, cross-functional projects on deadline
    • Experience working cross-functionally with various levels of management, both internally and externally
