    JOB TITLE: ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

    JOB LOCATION: INDIANAPOLIS 5350 LAKEVIEW PARKWAY S DRIVE INDIANAPOLIS IN 46268 UNITED STATES

     

    JOB DESCRIPTION/COMMENT:

    Assists in the design, development, and implementation of engineering projects, working on projects and problems where analysis requires an evaluation of identifiable factors.

    The incumbent may participate in the creation, enhancement and testing of products; assist in manufacturing and maintaining equipment; apply, revise and ensure quality assurance procedures; develop and propose instrument, subassembly and/or module concepts; and/or prepare documentation.

    1. ELECTRO-MECHANICAL SKILLS

    2. HANDS ON USE OF MEASUREMENT EQUIPMENT

    3. TESTING: EXECUTES TEST PROTOCOLS

    CORE TECHNICAL SKILLS

    Electro-Mechanical Skills, evidenced by technology degree or other relevant experience

    HANDS-ON:

    Use of Measurement Equipment, Assembly, Soldering, Machining

    I don’t expect anyone to have all of these hands-on skills

    TESTING:

    Executes test procedures and ensures documentation is consistent with standards o DOCUMENTATION:

    Understands engineering documents such as Block Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams, Mechanical Drawings, Schematics, PCB Layouts, etc.

    I don’t expect anyone to be proficient in all these areas

    CORE NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS

    Communication o Able to work independently and with a team

    MS Office (primarily Word and Excel)

    Additional Skills, optional for short-term contractor

    Troubleshooting

    Problem Solving

    Proof-reading (primarily protocols)

    Continuous Process Improvement

    Regulated Industry Experience

    Test Fixture Design
