    .NET WEB DEVELOPER

    Infovisa is growing and we are seeking a talented .NET web developer to join the team in our Lincoln, Nebraska office. Successful candidates will thrive in an environment where we work with the business team to understand software objectives and requirements, then take that knowledge to engineer software-based solutions. Developers will work both independently and collaboratively with other developers to create top quality software.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

    • SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT - The majority of most days are spent developing new or enhanced software functionality, writing unit tests, fixing bugs, and collaborating with other developers to ensure high quality software releases.
    • ANALYSIS & PLANNING - As part of our development process, web developers will analyze business requirements and plan software changes needed to implement the desired functionality. Infovisa relies on the Web Development team to engineer software solutions based on the business requirements and any existing software patterns that may apply.
    • PROBLEM SOLVING - Infovisa has a number of complex software requirements and relies upon Web Development team members to use their ingenuity, creativity, and problem solving abilities to craft solutions.
    • BUSINESS & QUALITY ASSURANCE - Communication with the business team is critical to obtaining the best understanding of the desired functionality and requirements. The Business and Quality Assurance teams submit bugs as they are discovered and the Web Development team works with them to address issues.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
    • 2+ years of professional experience:
      • Microsoft Visual Studio, C#, MVC, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and SQL.
    • Optional desired experience:
      • Microsoft Azure DevOps, Dependency Injection, WebAPI, Bootstrap, Powershell, and SANS or similar code security training.
    • Enjoy working alongside and collaborating with a team.
    • Enjoy solving problems.
    • Be creative and interested in all tiers of software development, from backend interfaces to user experience.
    • Demonstrated desire to keep up with technology and trends that affect the software industry.
    • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
    • Ability to understand and contribute to software requirements.
    • Ability to perform basic configuration on IIS and SQL Server.
    • We are willing to accept work experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree in some cases.
