    About the Role

    We are looking to onboard a highly experienced Infrastructure Architect with proven expertise in Microsoft Azure and the broader Microsoft ecosystem. This is a part-time, remote opportunity ideal for a senior technologist eager to design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions.

    Key Responsibilities

    Design and implement Azure-based infrastructure solutions aligned with enterprise needs.

    Develop infrastructure architecture documents, technology roadmaps, and migration strategies.

    Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and stakeholders to align infrastructure with business objectives.

    Architect hybrid environments, integrating on-premises and Azure cloud services.

    Build secure network topologies using VNets, NSGs, firewalls, VPNs, and ExpressRoute.

    Establish governance for Azure resource management, compliance, and cost control.

    Lead modernization efforts, including IaaS to PaaS transitions, containers, and serverless.

    Champion Infrastructure as Code using ARM, Bicep, Terraform, or Azure CLI.

    Integrate systems for monitoring, logging, backups, disaster recovery, and high availability.

    Ensure adherence to identity, security, and compliance policies using Azure AD, RBAC, and Defender.

    Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural standards and frameworks.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    12+ years of IT infrastructure experience with 5+ years in Azure architecture.

    Expert in designing and governing Azure-based environments.

    Proficient in Microsoft technologies: Windows Server, AD, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, Azure AD.

    In-depth understanding of networking, cloud security, and continuity planning.

    Hands-on with Azure services: VMs, App Services, AKS, Key Vault, Log Analytics, and more.

    Skilled in IaC tools: Terraform, ARM, Bicep.

    Familiar with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions.

    Strong communication and documentation capabilities.

    Knowledge of ITIL, enterprise architecture principles, and cloud governance.

    Preferred Certifications

    Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

    Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate

    Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert

    TOGAF or equivalent certification

    Nice to Have

    Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid infrastructures (Azure, AWS, On-Prem).

    Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform, Dynamics 365, or Defender suite.

    Scripting skills in PowerShell or Python for automation.
