TITLE: Technical Customer Service – Electrical
STATUS: Full-Time Hourly/Non-Exempt
SHIFT: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
REPORTS TO: Director of Engineering
SALARY RANGE: $25.00-$27.00/hr. (DOE)
Infratech draws upon decades of experience as a pioneer and leader in infrared technology for automotive, industrial, commercial and residential heating applications. Located in Gardena, CA, Infratech has an immediate opening for a Technical Support Specialist – Electrical position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide technical support to troubleshoot electrical and installation issues over the phone.
Answering incoming customer phone calls, prepare quotes and process sales order entries.
Assist in drawings and production orders for purchasing and manufacturing.
Provide support to manufacturing department through build-up projects, modifications, and troubleshooting.
Establish, create, and update data and manuals required for projects.
Perform some local field inspections if necessary.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
1-2 years customer service experience dealing with customers primarily over the phone.
Excellent oral and written communication skills to liaise with internal departments and external customers. This position requires a high level of language skills to communicate technical subject matters with internal and external customers orally and in writing.
Good familiarity with NEC and ability to read electrical diagrams.
Knowledge of NEC and UL is a plus.
Proficient in the use of AutoCAD (preferred) and Microsoft Office suite.
Excellent organizational skills with strong multi-tasking capabilities, and time management.
A self-starter and a team player who can work both in a team environment and independently.
Strong analytical, problem solving and research skills with attention to detail.
Bilingual (Spanish) plus
ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
Will work in an office and occasional indoor warehouse/manufacturing environment.
