The role you will play:
Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit; coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Correlates patient history and support systems within hospital care.
- Assess learning needs of patient and family.
- Develops and initiates teaching plan, involving patient and family.
- Recommends interventions.
- Evaluates plan of care.
- Resolves problems regarding less complex issues without oversight or supervision.
- Member of established active hospital committee or subcommittee with 75% participation in meetings.
- Demonstrates willingness to precept new employees/students as directed.
- Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
- Caring for oncology and hematology infusion patients including the use of central lines and administration of hazardous medications including chemotherapy.

Background:
- Two years of experience preferred
- Valid TN RN License
- CPR
- ACLS
- 1 year of Oncology experience.
