SOFTWARE PRODUCT MANAGER FOR FINANCIAL SERVICES COMPANY LOCATED IN EAST COUNTY SAN DIEGO.  STRONG PROFICIENCY WITH THE ADOBE CREATIVE SUITE (PHOTOSHOP, ILLUSTRATOR, XD) REQUIRED.  FINANCIAL OR RETIREMENT INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE A PLUS

The Software Product Manager is responsible for product planning, execution and delivery throughout the Product Lifecycle.  The Software Product Manager works with internal and external stake holders to research areas for product improvement, defines product goals, prioritizes projects, and defines the product road map.  S/he advocates for the user, and is passionate about creating innovative, easy to use, and seamless product experiences.  The Software Product Manager works closely with Software Development, Sales, Operations, Marketing and Client Experience to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.  S/he ensures that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals. 

RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Provide oversight and direction on all product changes both internally and externally facing
• Builds workflows, diagrams and other models to visually explain complex concepts to wide-audiences
• Conduct user research and user testing to make informed product decisions
• Work closely and collaborate with Product Designers on your team to create high fidelity designs
• Listen to, empathize with, and capture requirements from internal and external users
• Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on company products and services
• Lead product vision discussions and product positioning strategy meetings
• Work with your team to translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
• Coordinate product launches by working with public relations team, executives, and other product management team members
• Clearly communicate to stakeholders how your solutions address user needs along with business goals and within technical constraints
• Create wireframes, designs and prototypes
• Write functional requirements and user stories
• Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding
• Prioritize and schedule projects into sprints
• Manage product team member’s day-to-day tasks and duties
• Work closely with the software development team to deliver projects on time
• Travel = Occasional
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 5 years previous Product Management experience, preferably with Web Software
• Minimum 5 years UX development experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
• Strong proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD)
• Experience managing products in the financial or retirement industry a plus
