Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Senior Software Engineer (Lead) for our client in the technology industry. The Senior Software Engineer should be a highly motivated and self-directed software developer, deeply familiar with Android application development, to work as a technical lead on key Android-related projects. This is a full-time position, with very flexible work options (non-local and/or work-from-home) and excellent career growth opportunities for the motivated and talented individual.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement, optimize, and maintain custom Android software solutions. • Lead role designing, prototyping, porting, and delivering software for wide variety of business use-cases. • Serve as technical point of contact with industry partners, with significant involvement defining technical scope and timelines for high-priority projects. • Lead Android software team, mentor team members, adhering to and exemplifying best coding practices.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• 5+ years Android application development, including experience working with audio. • Strong proficiency in Android Java Application Framework APIs, Android Studio, Gradle, Version Control (Git). • Ability to write clean, high performance, maintainable code. • Great communication skills. • Willingness to handle exciting and dynamic environment. • Ability to autonomously own projects, strive to tackle challenges, resolve unknowns.

GOOD TO HAVE

• Experience with JIRA/Confluence/etc., Agile software methods (Kanban, Scrum). • Familiarity with C and/or C++, Python, NodeJS, Bash. • Familiarity with AWS Lambda, DynamoDB APIs. • Familiarity with JNI, NDK, AOSP (hidden APIs, etc.). • Experience working with Linux ALSA and/or OSS. • Experience in iOS/tvOS application development (Swift, Objective-C).
