    Job Description

     

    We are seeking a Network Systems Administrator to join our team! You will handle a variety of projects to support and improve the organization's network systems.

    POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the IT Director, the Network Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining workstations, servers, user applications and networks for the Company by utilizing and supporting the internal IT Helpdesk system. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Serves as a Virtual Help Desk escalation point for Help Desk Technicians to get assistance, troubleshoot and resolve problems. Additionally, clarifies problems and determines if additional expertise is required before further escalating ticket. • Assures the efficient operation of the Company’s computers and makes recommendations to the IT Director regarding repair, upgrades, and purchases of hardware and software. • Provides primary technical support in a specialized technology area(s) as assigned by the IT Director. • Provides secondary/backup technical support as assigned. • Creates support procedure documentation for use by end users as well as junior support staff. • Maintains inventory of assigned areas software and equipment. • Ensures spare software and equipment is kept in a locked storage area. • In consultation with, and under the direction of the IT Director acts as a project resource for implementing the Company-wide technology roadmap items • Implements and supports the policies and procedures developed by the Information Technology Department including IT Security policies. • Travels to other cemetery locations to assist in technology project deployment and end-user training as needed. • Needs to be comfortable working with people from all departments, including managers and executives, in person, on the phone, and via email. • Able to work independently, perform research, analyze data, identify trends, take and recommend appropriate actions with minimal supervision. • Take ownership and maintain systems backup and data recovery solution(s) ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and three years’ experience or must have a minimum of five years paid work experience in computer technician related field including basic troubleshooting of hardware and software.

     • Working knowledge of Cisco Meraki  • Knowledge of VMware 7.0 •Working knowledge of – Firewalls, Routers, Switches, VLANS, WAPs, SDWANs •Working knowledge of-AD Level3, System Admin, SharePoint • Basics of Cyber Security • Basic Knowledge of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery • Must have advanced level knowledge of PC hardware and software operations. • Must be available to work weekends on a regular basis • Industry Certification preferred - CompTIA NetPlus, MS Azure Administrator Associate, Windows 10 • Experienced with Scripts and Automation Tools a plus • Able to lift at least 25 lbs. and climb a 6-foot ladder • Must have reliable transportation
