    Job Description

    Ingram Content Group (ICG) **** is hiring an Academic Marketing Manager to work with our Ingram **Academic & Professional **team in our NYC office. The Academic Marketing Manager develops and implements marketing plans, activities, and integrated brand communications targeting university press and commercial, academic publishers in the academic, trade, and library markets. The Academic Marketing Manager will build and execute a new social media strategy targeted to professors on behalf of Ingram Academic & Professional. In addition, this person implements marketing solutions that effectively position Ingram Academic & Professional client publishers in the marketplace promoting brand awareness, market share, and revenue growth. Finally, the Academic Marketing Manager supports the business strategies of the sales, marketing, and related business units and interfaces with various departments daily to execute projects, ensuring accurate, timely, and cost-efficient implementation.

    The ideal candidate will have marketing experience with a publisher, preferably an academic publisher.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 4 years’ experience managing marketing programs in a small to medium sized company, or publishing company

    Preferred Skills:

    • Marketing experience with a publisher, preferably an academic publisher

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Works with client publishers to develop marketing services that promote and enhance the marketability and discoverability of publisher’s titles.
    • Maintains the Ingram Academic & Professional website, ensuring clients titles are featured as agreed and website content is kept up to date.
    • Consults with the client publishers under other Ingram distribution brands on academic marketing possibilities and, when agreed, helps them implement marketing plans directed toward higher education instructors.
    • Works with client publishers to develop marketing services that promote and enhance the marketability and visibility of publisher’s titles.
    • Maintains the Ingram Academic & Professional website, ensuring clients titles are featured as agreed and website content is kept up to date.
    • Consults with client publishers on academic marketing possibilities and, when agreed, helps them implement marketing plans directed toward higher education instructors.
    • Works closely with client publishers to develop and implement an academic marketing strategy in the UK.
    • Plans, executes, and measures marketing plans and campaigns in the higher education market.
    • Ensures the timely and efficient delivery of deliverables and goals.
    • Manages the content of instructor and library newsletters.
    • Manages direct response marketing for relevant client publishers.
