HOURS: Full Time, 5 Days/Week (40+ Hours)
DESCRIPTION: InHance Interiors is a high-end residential interior design and build firm that seeks an Interior Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 5-7+ years of experience working as an Interior Designer or Construction Manager at an interior design firm. This position requires working closely with and reporting directly to the company partners to assist with all aspects of a project from beginning to completion. This person must be a natural leader who is organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, resourceful, able to multitask, and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The Design and Construction Manager will track all aspects of a design project; including client relations; development, construction administration, procurement, and overall client management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. We work on projects nationwide and as a small team there is great opportunity to get involved in all aspects of the process.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Collaborate and support interior design assignments with other architects, interiors, and other personnel within our design studio.
· Compile data, perform design computations and prepare plans and renderings.
· Strong competency in technical specifications, calculations and industry standards, and application of building codes and specification.
· Ability coordinate work efforts of staff and collaborate with Project Leadership.
· Experience in all phases and aspects of a project.
· Working knowledge of building construction and detailing.
· Experience in development and compilation of construction documents.
· Assist in project finish and color selection, interior spatial design, and document coordination from schematic design through construction documents.
· Compile construction documents such as material specifications, furniture specifications, millwork, and interior detailing.
· Coordinate drawings with other disciplines. Assist with internal furniture and space planning.
· Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
· Minimum of 5-7+ years of job-related design experience required.
· Previous experience in interior design, preferably within a high-end residential construction or design firm.
· Interface with field managers
· Problem solving skills, attention to detail, and motivation to learn.
· Collaborative and professional work ethic.
· NCIDQ or ARE licensure is required.
· Effective verbal and written communication skills.
· Demonstrates advanced proficiency with REVIT and basic operational proficiencies with AutoCad, SketchUp, Photoshop and Microsoft Office suite. Word, and Excel. Ivy, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator are a plus.
· Performs review the designs of construction projects; provides technical assistance to project designs, scopes of work, and construction schedule
· Provides constructability and Value Engineering plan reviews. Coordinates with architectural and engineering consultants when necessary to ensure proper design
· Review and provide feedback during design process of new construction and rehab projects
RESPONSIBILITES:
Participate in fast-paced, collaborative team and project environments
Responsible for leading and executing multiple projects at any one time with competing deadlines
Manage the development of project designs, documentation, and drawings
Handle technical and production aspects of projects
Actively works on drawings with experience in AutoCAD
Understand design intent and goals for successful implementation
Assist in the design control/construction administration phase of the projects
Maintain documentation procedures and standards
Assists Project Manager with proposals/budget development
Provides technical and code analysis guidance
Supports Project Manager and has direct contact with clients
HOURS & COMPENSATION
This is a position with a full-time commitment. Compensation is based on experience and will either be independent contractor or salaried. Occasional time will be expected outside of normal operating hours.
LOCATION
This job is based in the Fairfax/Beverly Grove district of Los Angeles. Our projects are spread out around LA. It is recommended that you live within a close radius to our offices.
