Business Development Manager for Interior Design/Build Firm
Job Description
LA’s premier residential Design Build firm is looking for a business development superstar to spearhead B2B efforts and foster crucial relationships and fruitful partnerships amongst the city’s key players in architecture and real estate brokerage.
Responsibilities
Develop strategy and structure for building local B2B relationships amongst Architecture and Real Estate professionals
Close new B2B partnership accounts and help integrate clients into II process for seamless execution
Work with Marketing team to develop collateral, paid Ads, and other assets to promote II brand, services, and thought leadership
Schedule meeting, events, and speaking opportunities for II leadership
Pitch “out-of-the-box” opportunities for B2B partnerships
Build rolodex of potential partners to create an ecosystem of referrals
Develop real relationships with industry peers
Research competitors and trends
Represent II at industry and networking events
Foster and oversee execution of CRM campaign + maintain database
Seek opportunities for PR and promotional placement
Inform leadership about how II can better serve our channel partners (newsletter, blog, podcast, services, templates, etc.)
Bridge the information gap between Realtors and Architects to the world of Design/Build
Build social media presence, engagement, and cross-promotion
Prepare for PR Agency integration and assist in determining 3rd party priorities
Skills
3+ years’ experience in a manager level marketing, sales, or business development position required
3+ years’ experience in any position providing experience in the following areas are strongly preferred:
design-build
event planning
public relations
Strong knowledge of local Real Estate market
Understanding of Construction process, architectural plans, and City Planning Process
Familiarity with local and national Design Build/Architecture/Real Estate events and trade shows
CRM data management (Buildertrend, Salesforce, or similar)
Experience with a high lead volume and many overlapping priorities
Excellent oral and written communication skills (blogs, emails, phone calls, collateral)
Ability to work effectively on a cross-functional team with direct communication, strong EQ, and respect.
History of creating and managing a large rolodex of relationships (preferably in the design brokerage + architecture field)
Strong social media skills to slide into the right DMs and get responses + monitor digital ad performance, reels, info graphics, influencer outreach, and social account engagement.
Creative eye and good taste to appeal to peers in LA’s high-end luxury home sector
Self-starter is an understatement – must possess strong project management and follow-through skills
Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Familiarity with the following software/systems a plus:
MailChimp or similar
Facebook Ads
Google Ads
Must live in Los Angeles
