  • Responsibilities

    Objective of the Position:

    Assist and learn the setup and optimization of production systems to achieve, quality, quantity and deadline objectives through the optimal use of materials and operating resources. The ability and knowledge to perform changeovers and make appropriate minor adjustments to the machines and the process.

    Main Tasks:

    • Setting up, conversion, starting-up and optimization of production systems until approval by the authorized units. Ability to complete a changeover and minor changes to machine.
    • Servicing work and preventive maintenance for production systems, peripheral equipment and tools including their associated documentation
    • Performance of sampling, tests and process optimizations
    • Assist with performance of tasks in line with the corvaglia closures USA and to ensure all safety policies are followed.
    • Education and training of shift employees
    • Provision of active support as part of the continuous improvement process (CIP)
    • Compliance with measures aimed at ensuring occupational safety, hygiene and accident prevention
    • Cooperation during the creation of training, maintenance and installation documents. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rule, operating and maintenance procedures.
    • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent
    • Solving problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
    • On-call service in order to ensure smooth production
    • Achievement of KPI Objectives which Includes OEE and Scrap and through the economical and efficient use of facilities and materials
    • Achievement of quality and quantity objectives
    • Compliance with work processes and documentation as well as adherence to statutory and internal regulations for production sites
    • Management of process parameter documentation and definition of tolerances
    • Reporting of instances in which processes deviate from process specifications
    • Responsibility for Moulds and Mould Maintenance
    • Willingness to provide absentism and relief for the production team as needed
    • Suspension of production in the event of risks to people and the environment
    • Holding of non-compliant products
    • Requesting help from third parties outside normal working hours

    Education and Training:

    Plastics engineer or equivalent education and further training. Require minimum 3 years of operational experience. Forklift and Crane Certified

    Professional Experience:

    Injection moulding specialist, experience at a plastics-processing company.

    Management Experience:

    • Not required

    Specialist Knowledge:

    MS Office knowledge (Excel, Word and Outlook) mandatory, ERP knowledge (proAlpha) advantageous.

    Experience with fast-running and multi-cavity moulds on injection moulding machines required; experience with Engel, Husky, and Netstal injection moulding machines desirable; knowledge of continuous motion systems and camera control systems advantageous; experience in area of process optimization required. 5S methodology for creating a more organized and productive workspace: Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain. 5S serves as a foundation for deploying more advanced lean production tools and processes.
