    Job Description

    Fiber Reclaim, Inc. is seeking and experienced Logistics person to oversee the daily process of planning, assigning, and completing loads assigned to a group of truck drivers.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    LOAD PLANNING

    • Acts as the first point of contact with IEP Shipping, Customer Service, and Inland Transportation Services (ITS).
    • Responsible for planning weekly available loads that will generate profit and assigning them to available drivers based on timing objectives that will optimize a driver’s weekly mileage and hours of service.
    • Actively foster profitable lane development.
    • Demonstrate an understanding of DOT regulations, proper hours of service, and weight requirements/restrictions for loads and corresponding equipment.
    • When necessary communicate with select freight brokers, choose and negotiate the highest possible spot market freight rates, and complete required load paperwork.

    TRUCK COORDINATION

    • Help with answering inbound calls to Fiber Reclaim and redistribute where needed.
    • Communicate with drivers via Transportation Management software and telephone.  Help drivers solve present issues preventing them from driving.  Delegate issues to Business Manager or Fleet Support Coordinator when required.
    • Work to solve driver maintenance issues as they arise.
    • Populate Prophesy (TMS) software with loads to be hauled and complete them in the system when finished by assigned driver. Keep loads up to date as well as customer and rate databases.
    • Occasional after hours and weekend availability via phone to assist a driver when needed.

     

    GENERAL & ADMINISTRATIVE

    • Assist with Business Manager tasks when unavailable.
    • Generate settlements for driver payroll only when Business Manager is unavailable during a payroll week.
    • Prepare driver paperwork and distribute it to guard shack when required.
    • Update weekly fuel surcharge report.
    • Attend required IEP/ITS weekly meetings and any driver safety meetings.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • At least 3 years logistics and or customer service experience required.
    • Energetic, hardworking, accountable and pro-active personality desired.
    • At times, able to work in dynamic situations with a sense of urgency.
    • Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experienced organizational and communication abilities; (multi-tasking, phone, email, text, spoken, etc.).
    • Microsoft Office suite experience with a working knowledge of logistics software preferred.
    • Work well in a team or individually.
