We are looking for an experienced and highly analytical Finance Manager for one of our global shipping clients. The Finance Manager will be responsible to handle the full set of the financial, management and tax reporting requirements of the company and perform the accounting function of Group bank transactions managed by the Company’s Treasury team as well as handling the monthly reconciliation of intra-group transactions.

The ideal candidate would have a strong understanding of the International Financial Reporting Standards and would have at least 5 years of experience working in a similar capacity in the maritime industry.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Corporate financial statements of the company.
• Lead in the co-ordination of annual audit and tax compliance requirements of the company.
• Assist in the preparation of the quarter-end and year-end group accounts and schedules
• Handle budget and full year forecast of the company.
• Perform data analysis and management reporting in both company and group general and administration cost.
• Co-ordination of relevant accounting functions and oversees the bookkeeping function of owners’ transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliation of the Group bank accounts and ensure that balances agree to Treasury cash management.
• Reconciliation of balances between owners and ship managers.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy or recognizable accounting qualification-ACCA/CPA
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in maritime/ offshore/ asset heavy industry
• Strong foundation in accounting, controls, processes, and financial reporting
• Strong knowledge of IFRS
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Possess professional ethics and integrity
• Good team player and fluent in written and spoken English
