GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Human Resource Administrator responsibilities include working with managers on all staff changes, administering company benefits, tracking attendance, and maintaining up to date safety issues documentation including workplace accidents. This position is responsible for upholding the company policies, the union contract, and following all legal requirements pertaining to employee relations. The HR administrator handles the payroll processing each week and related reporting for accounting. Payroll processing responsibilities include calculating and verifying approval on hours worked by all employees including temporary employees, maintaining all backup documentation, and submitting the payroll information to our 3rd party check processor. This position must respond to audit related items as they arise from various agencies. Key skills required are accuracy and organization.

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process Personal Action Notices for payroll that includes new hires and changes to employee data, such as name/address/phone, insurance deductions, union dues/initiation, 401K deductions/loans, levies, garnishments, child support, and credit union deductions.
- Facilitate recruitment of employees and perform the initial interview to identify potential candidates suitable for the open positions. Complete job offers to prospective employees, as instructed by management, process new hire paperwork and onboarding.
- Track attendance for various union programs and provide non-compliance warnings as needed.
- Perform enrollment of employees into benefits programs and maintain accurate tracking for accounting.
- Update Pay Statement Summary weekly and Average Wage Report monthly.
- Facilitate safety training compliance and reporting to 3rd party safety organization, including Workers Comp and OSHA reports.
- Process weekly Payroll for all employees including researching missed punches, verifying overtime approvals, submitting to 3rd party payroll processor, and completing various reports for management.
- Maintain employee information in payroll system for accurate processing weekly.
- Report hours and other requested information to temp. agencies, audit and approve temp. agency invoices, and verify invoices for A/P.
- Other reporting and tasks as requested by Management
