    Job Description

    INNOPHASE is a rapidly growing ultralow-power wireless semiconductor startup with headquarters located in San Diego, CA. We are developing complete wireless solutions with significantly differentiated power dissipation/performance tradeoffs.     KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Collaborate closely with Systems, HW, FW and QA teams to determine verification requirements
    • Develop embedded firmware and scripts to perform functional verification of wireless SoC hardware
    • Develop automated test frameworks to perform digital design verification and regression testing
    • Employ diverse verification techniques and methodologies consistent with industry standards
    • Generate reports detailing system and functional block working status (pass/fail) and hardware characterization and performance
    • Read and understand detailed technical specifications
    • Support first-level triage and debug of issues
    • Primarily a hands-on, individual contributor role

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • BS EE/CS required, MS+ EE/CS preferred
    • 8+ years' experience required writing and debugging firmware implementation and test cases for SoC / digital hardware verification
    • Strong coding skills in C, Python, and shell scripting
    • Comprehensive knowledge of embedded firmware programming in C, RTOS principles and concepts, and microcontrollers and peripherals
    • Solid problem solving and debugging skills
    • Working knowledge of and experience with Git, Jira, and CI test (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab Runner) tools
    • Good communication, documentation and presentation skills
    • Demonstrate initiative to drive technical issues to resolution

    DESIRABLE SKILLS

    • Prior ARM or similar System on a Chip (SoC) product development experience
    • Working knowledge of and experience with RTL and mixed-mode (HW/FW) emulation / simulation
    • Good knowledge and understanding of wireless technology standards and protocol stack software
    • Knowledge of modern software development flows e.g. Agile / Lean
    • Be able to work productively and independently
    • Team player with a strong sense of urgency to meet product needs on time
