INNOPHASE is a rapidly growing ultralow-power wireless semiconductor startup with headquarters located in San Diego, CA. We are developing complete wireless solutions with significantly differentiated power dissipation/performance tradeoffs. Our innovative technology also dramatically improves wireless product flexibility and ease-of-use for product developers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate closely with Systems, HW, FW and QA teams to determine verification requirements
- Develop embedded firmware and scripts to perform functional verification of wireless SoC hardware
- Develop automated test frameworks to perform digital design verification and regression testing
- Employ diverse verification techniques and methodologies consistent with industry standards
- Generate reports detailing system and functional block working status (pass/fail) and hardware characterization and performance
- Read and understand detailed technical specifications
- Support first-level triage and debug of issues
- Primarily a hands-on, individual contributor role
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- BS EE/CS required, MS+ EE/CS preferred
- 8+ years' experience required writing and debugging firmware implementation and test cases for SoC / digital hardware verification
- Strong coding skills in C, Python, and shell scripting
- Comprehensive knowledge of embedded firmware programming in C, RTOS principles and concepts, and microcontrollers and peripherals
- Solid problem solving and debugging skills
- Working knowledge of and experience with Git, Jira, and CI test (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab Runner) tools
- Good communication, documentation and presentation skills
- Demonstrate initiative to drive technical issues to resolution
DESIRABLE SKILLS
- Prior ARM or similar System on a Chip (SoC) product development experience
- Working knowledge of and experience with RTL and mixed-mode (HW/FW) emulation / simulation
- Good knowledge and understanding of wireless technology standards and protocol stack software
- Knowledge of modern software development flows e.g. Agile / Lean
- Be able to work productively and independently
- Team player with a strong sense of urgency to meet product needs on time
