    Travel LPN needed for 13 week assignment.  $2100 per week based on a 40 hr work week.  Night shift.  Must have ME or compact license.

     

    JOB SUMMARY


    The LPN partners with our residents and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment by providing direct and indirect care.


    Units include


    31-bed specialized unit, working with Alzheimers/dementia residents, and tailoring care to meet their needs. Key aspects of this unit are the use of both verbal and non-verbal communication techniques, understanding the difficult behaviors that are sometimes associated with residents that have Alzheimer's/Dementia, as well as understanding that these behaviors can be valid communications. It provides needed care to those residents needing long term placement in a home-like environment.


    42-bed unit provides short-term, skilled nursing and rehab services to patients recovering from fractures, joint replacements, back surgery, stroke, and other illnesses or injuries of a short-term nature where a rehab approach might be beneficial. Nursing services often include IV therapy, wound care and geriatric assessment and management.


    42-bed long-term care unit. It provides needed care to those residents needing long term placement in a home-like environment.


    JOB REQUIREMENTS


    Education:

    • Graduate of Maine State Board approved LPN course

    • Need valid State of Maine Licensed Practical Nurse license

    Experience:

    • 1-3 years previous LPN experience preferred

    • Will consider new LPN's with relevant work experience

    Other Skills Required:

    • Medical terminology preferred

    • Strong teamwork and communication skills required.

    • The ability to work well within a team of other care providers

    • Flexibility required to coverage 24 hours/day, 7 days per week

    • Flexibility to float to other units as needed

    An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.
