    Our health system is calling a Data Architecture Consultant to join the Big Data team in Gardena CA. You can be located in either the Seattle Area or Southern CA.

    We are seeking a Data Architecture Consultant who will have a special focus on Home Community Care (HCC) data, for which this role will coordinate cross-functional system architecture discussions internal and external to HCC, develop road maps in conjunction with Data Strategy team, HCC Core leaders, and HI or IS Leaders as needed.

    This role will link analytics projects across HCC, facilitating efforts that benefit from cross-functional collaboration. This position will also represent the architectural data requirements of HCC Measurement and Analytics to Healthcare Intelligence (HI) and act as the formal technical liaison with HI throughout the project life cycle. Other areas of responsibility will include leading 'special project' work that involves resources from multiple sections, and advising the caregiver(s) responsible for liaising with HCC operations and clinical care departments within this Division.

    In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

    Lead in the identification of HCC data principles to guide in the design and implementation of data assets

    Establish HCC Clinical Architecture Review process and serves as a liaison with Review Boards across the enterprise

    Manage documentation for HCC analytics data architecture and support established documentation procedures. That documentation could include where appropriate: description of projects, business definitions, specifications, requirements, target state, data attributes and valid reference values, description of any taxonomies, data quality rules, data flow and conceptual data models.

    Work with Data Strategy Consultant for the HCC Measurement and Analytics team, in conjunction with other members of the team to develop long term strategy for the data architecture

    Work with essential caregivers in HCC Measurement and Analytics and Healthcare Intelligence teams to push forward projects core to our data strategy

    Coordinate and facilitate HCC Clinical Architecture Review process among HCC Measurement and Analytics and other stakeholder teams as needed.

    Foster strong collaborative working relationships across HCC Measurement and Analytics sections

    Identify opportunities to optimize work processes within Clinical Analytics, especially related to coordinating work between sections

    Align our processes and procedures with HI standards whenever possible and identify and discuss any areas of divergence

    Enable the HCC Clinical Architecture Review process to support HCC Measurement and Analytics projects from multiple perspectives

    Collaborate with stakeholders internal and external to HCC Measurement and Analytics on relevant system architecture and track progress towards key milestones

    Assist HCC core leaders in soliciting key data needs from their clients/stakeholders

    Facilitate the development of processes for optimized data strategy decision-making and documentation

    Develop and oversee the implementation of a data-driven mechanism to manage the intake and distribution of HCC Analytics projects in conjunction with HI intake, the CCPH project prioritization, and the use of DevOps

    Maintain a store of knowledge about contemporary techniques for data storage and manipulation (e.g. ‘big data’ tools) that can be drawn on to inform the design of data platforms

    Qualifications:

    8 years of SQL server skills, Coding in Python, deep understanding of Microsoft Azure and its data tools set.

    Work well within Agile Methodologies

    Understand, or have experience with Dev/Ops environment.

    Deep understanding of how a Data Pipeline is set up within a Healthcare environment.

    5 years experience with ETL

    Power BI and or Tableau, Power BI preferred.

    Master's Degree in Health Sciences, Informatics, Mathematics, System Science, Epidemiology, Computer Science, or comparable disciplines or an equivalent combination of skills and experience

    8 years Business Intelligence, analytical software, systems, tools, and processes

    5 years work in a healthcare environment, especially with healthcare data

    5 years project leadership in a complex work environment (large healthcare provider preferred)

    5 years design of analytical tools, data stores or self-service data platforms

    Very strong problem solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities

    Unusually high level of intellectual curiosity

    Excellent in communicating with project team members, stakeholders, executives, and external customers. Superb written and oral presentation skills, proven ability to communicate on both interpersonal and technical levels

    Exceptional ability to engage senior leadership and others across the organization to create and cultivate innovative ideas, evaluate new opportunities and work collaboratively on execution

    Expert facilitation skills, including the ability to collaborate and facilitate across cross-functional teams in solution and strategy sessions and lead key stakeholders in decision-making

    Proven ability to lead through influence

    Thoroughly knowledgeable about how organizations work; can clearly articulate how to get things done both through formal channels and through the informal network

    Exhibits perseverance through energy and drive; will not give up when faced with resistance or setbacks

    Healthcare industry background and experience working with internal and external partners building real-world end-to-end analytic solutions

    Expert knowledge in the design of data stores to support analytical products

    Expert knowledge of statistical analysis, software functionality, logical systems, and/or scientific methods

    Strong leadership and mentoring skills in the areas of technical development and scientific inquiry

    Ability to develop new analytic or technical approaches that overcome limitations of existing systems

    Knowledgeable about the healthcare environment including trends concerning health insurance, healthcare delivery, provider relationships and regulatory issues
