POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Manager, Internal and External Communications, the Senior Communications Specialist 3 (Financial & Corporate Affairs) will work cross-functionally with Communications, Marketing, Finance, and other organizations to set internal and external financial communications strategies for the company, the industry-leading provider of proprietary advanced nuclear small modular reactor (“SMR”) technology,
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working closely with Finance and Investor Relations, develop and support internal and external financial communication strategies globally in line with the company’s business strategy and marketing mission.
- Lead financial messaging and content development for all channels (investor relations website, marketing materials, social media, email newsletter, annual reports, sustainability reports, etc.).
- Partner closely with the Finance organization to support the execution of senior executive level briefing materials, scripting/messaging for internal and external keynotes, media interviews, blogs, presentations, and advise executive leadership on a variety of complex company issues.
- Lead media relations specific to financial communications (media pitching, press releases, letters to the editor, opinion pieces, press and other events, etc.).
- Work with the Brand, Marketing and Advertising team on marketing and outreach programs to the investor community (shareholders, analysts, and institutions).
- Support internal communication strategy for updating all employees on external financial messaging (town hall meetings, etc.).
- Travel may be required for events and meetings (15-20%).

MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in communications or related field is required from an accredited college or university. Advanced degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of full-time, directly related experience in financial communications or related area is required. Additional required and preferred experience is indicated below:
- Experience in financial and investor relations communications is required.
- Experience building external communication strategic plans, including media relations, public relations, events, social media, and other communication channels is required.
- Proficiency in developing sharp, convincing messages for diverse audiences on complex matters, sometimes with significant scientific content is required.
- A strong track record working with the media to position an organization in a competitive communications environment is required.
- Ability to work independently, be self-driven and maintain communications with Companies Power’s management and staff while working from various locations is required.
- Experience and knowledge of nuclear and energy industry preferred.
- Industry Requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
