Strong knowledge of educational techniques and methods for teaching young
children
• Develop weekly lesson plans that are aligned with the PA Standard for Early
Childhood Education and implement age appropriate curriculum to engage,
nurture, and stimulate children’s development.
• Implement STEM activities inside and outside the classroom.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that foster social,
emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Modify the general education curriculum for students with disabilities based upon
a variety of instructional techniques and technologies.
• Collaborate with parents to promote understanding of their child’s growth and
development.
• Maintain a classroom with STEM toys and materials to constantly promote
exploration and stimulate young minds.
• Maintains a learning environment full with STEM practices and materials that
serves as a model
• Conduct regular formal and/or informal parent/teacher conferences on each
child’s preschool adjustment, classroom behavior, and developmental progress.
• Complete child service reports semi-annually on each child’s progress and give
feedback and suggestions to parents on child development.
