    The Innovation Strategy Intern is a is a resourceful, creative, data-driven, empathic, startup mindset visionary and customer evangelist. This person is motivated by empowerment and is accountable to themselves first. They are not afraid to speak up. They use data to challenge the status quo and use empathy to influence their teams. They find comfort in technical complexity and can dive deep to understand the nuances and complexities of problems.

    The Innovation Strategy Intern is a "jack-of-all-trades" leveraging deep customer empathy, strategic thinking, commercial, analytical, and leadership prowess to drive growth and positively impact customers lives.

    What you will do

    No day is the same for the Innovation Strategy Intern. Day to day activities or responsibilities include: conducting market research; defining long-term strategy of the project; hunting for new projects with external partners in Extended Reality technologies; creating the project road map; presenting to senior leadership; helping drive and support technical delivery end to end; partnering with development, project/program management, marketing, and other key stakeholders to define release schedule; and support/drive go-to-market activities as needed.

    Responsibilities:

    Vision, Strategy, and Analysis

    • Conducts research and analysis in order to help create and manage project vision and roadmap.

    • Partners with business and internal/external stakeholders to understand current customer experiences, potential 5G use cases and identifies areas of opportunity.

    • Assists with presentations.

    • Provides ad hoc information to management by creating special reports and analysis on request.

    • Attends meetings with external third parties to gain a better understanding of partnerships and opportunities.

    • Develops and maintains current understanding of tech trends, in areas not limited to Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and Mixed Reality. Assesses how trends impact the roadmap or create opportunity for innovation with T-Mobile 5G.

    Product Execution / Delivery

    • Scopes and prioritizes activities based on business and customer impact.

    • Assists with proofs of concept and pilot programs with early-stage projects.

    • Assists in the development of information and training material on select projects and technology.

    • Understands challenges and recommends trade-offs with the team.

    • Helps prepare and drive product and experience demos.

    Additional Details

    • This position is 100% in-office; must be able to work in Bellevue, WA location – relocation is NOT provided

    • Employer does not sponsor work visas for this position. Note that this also applies to individuals who are students in F-1 status who desire sponsorship after they complete their educationIntern wages vary from $20/hour to $40/hour. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on experience/location
