Innovative Engineering and Consulting is a civil engineering design, consulting, and land surveying firm located in Whitestown, Indiana. Our clients are located throughout Indiana and nationally. Our office is conveniently located off I-65. Our projects range from small commercial and retail, industrial, large residential and mixed-use developments.     The Survey Field Crew Technician is a full-time permanent position and is an integral part of the day-to-day operations between the survey department and design department. The individual in this position will interact with staff, consultants, and clients as instructed by the Director of Engineering and senior management. The work environment will require the individual to work alone and within small teams on a variety of tasks. This is a field position which requires the ability to work with variable weather conditions and extremes. You must be able to walk distances, operate power equipment safely, and maintain equipment daily.

    Engineering Support

    • Collect accurate existing site conditions to be used in developing survey documents and as a base for site design
    • Maintain accurate, properly collected, and coded digital data from the field
    • Experience with exporting and importing points from and to the field
    • Ability to calculate points for construction field staking
    • Other tasks that may be assigned

    Education and Experience Requirement

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • A plus if you have an associates degree in surveying
    • 1-3 years of experience with field data collecting
    • Microsoft; Outlook, Excel, and Word

    Compensation

    • Hourly position based on a 40-hour week Monday through Friday
