Job Description: As a Welding and Fabrication Specialist at Innovative Manufacturing Solutions, you will play a key role in our production process by performing welding and fabrication tasks to create high-quality metal components and structures. Your expertise in welding techniques, metalworking, and fabrication processes will contribute to the success of our projects and the satisfaction of our clients.

Responsibilities:

Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand project requirements.

Set up and operate welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, and stick welders to join metal components.

Perform various welding processes including gas metal arc welding (GMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), and shielded metal arc welding (SMAW).

Select appropriate welding techniques and materials based on metal type, thickness, and project specifications.

Conduct fit-up and tack welding operations to prepare components for final welding.

Use hand and power tools to cut, grind, and shape metal components as needed.

As needed, perform fabrication tasks such as bending, forming, and cutting metal to create finished products.

Ensure the accuracy and quality of welds and fabricated components through visual inspections and dimensional measurements.

Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and workflow.

Maintain equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.

Follow company policies, procedures, and quality control standards at all times.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a welder/fabricator in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.

Proficiency in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes and techniques.

Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.

Flexibility to work different shifts as needed.

Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor tasks.

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
