    Job Description

    At Innovetive Petcare, it all begins with a great team. We look for those exceptional individuals that share a passion for excellence, learning, and collaboration. We are currently seeking a Payroll & HR Operations Specialist to join our Austin support team!

    Innovetive Petcare owns and operates 42 veterinary hospitals across the country. We currently have over 1200 employees company wide and are growing quickly!

    Our practices benefit from Innovetive’s tools, resources, and a great support team dedicated to helping veterinary practices prosper and grow!

    Essential Functions:

    • Processes payroll for individual clinics (separate company entities) and support office staff.

    • Calculate and process bonuses for staff on a monthly, quarterly, annual basis.

    • Manage employee data in the payroll system (Paycor)

    • Serve as the expert point of contact for employees and managers, answering queries, resolving issues.

    • Create and analyze weekly audit reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with employment eligibility, payroll, benefits, paid time off, etc.

    • Processes unemployment information requests and potential charges in a timely, efficient manner.

    • Reports, maintains, and monitors workers' compensation case files; follows-up on open cases.

    • Manage system set-up for newly acquired veterinary practices and their staff.

    • Update HRMS records and process paperwork for status changes, including leaves of absence and termination.

    • Monitors employee eligibility for benefit plans. Reviews benefits with employees and processes enrollment, cancellation, or changes.

    • Manages new hire and onboarding process, including updates in HRMS, initiating background checks, drug screenings, etc.

    • Administers COBRA for group insurance plans.

    • Create and maintain documentation of processes.

    • May assist with managing logistics for staff meetings and/or conferences.

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

    • Experience processing payroll for multiple entities (currently 42, and adding) and 500+ employees

    • Intermediate level with Paycor, PayCom, or other payroll system.

    • Creating standard and customized reports

    • Worker’s compensation policies, practices, standards, and reporting requirements

    • Administering benefits and COBRA

    • Minimum of two years of experience processing payroll and HR Administration

    • Experience with system and data migrations a plus.

    • Experience with Equifax (Form I9 processing and maintenance) a plus.

    This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at our home office located in north Austin, TX.
