Job Overview We are looking for a competent, reliable and enthusiastic Production Planning Manager to join our growing team. The Production Planning Manger is responsible for production scheduling and managing raw materials to meet production ticket & customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company's productive capacity. This position reports directly to the VP-General Manager. Key Responsibilities - Determine production requirements based on plant capacity and production specifications. - Plan work flow and schedules for production departments. - Monitor production status and ensure timely delivery. - Identify delays and accordingly adjust schedules to meet deadlines. - Assist in production risk assessment and mitigation activities. - Notify customers on any delays and outages. - Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction. - Evaluate current production processes and recommend improvements. - Assist in new product development and enhancements. - Conduct daily meetings to keep track of production schedules. - Ensure that finished products meet quality standards and customer specifications. - Determine equipment, materials and manpower required to complete production. - Resolve production issues and escalate unresolved issues to management promptly. - Assist in employee hiring, training, performance evaluation, retention and termination activities. - Releases purchase orders for raw material to meet production schedules. - Manages raw material inventory levels to support the business unit and meet production schedules. - Ensures the materials in the custom products in the production tickets are properly set-up. - All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the VP-General Manager.
