    Job Summary:

    The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the accounting team in various activities, including General Ledger Maintenance, Accounts Payable, and Process Improvement. This position offers a great opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills and advancing their career in accounting.

    Responsibilities:

    · Perform monthly general ledger account reconciliations.

    · Perform monthly general ledger accruals.

    · Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice verification, coding, and timely payment.

    · Prepare 1099s at year end.

    · Process accounts receivable transactions.

    · Process expense reports.

    · Assist with preparation of monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.

    · Maintain Fixed Asset register and physical audit of fixed assets.

    · Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits. Address auditor’s inquiries and provide necessary documentation.

    · Support annual tax preparation.

    · Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. Stay informed about changes in accounting principles.

    · Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting and financial processes.

    · Identify, analyze, and interpret useful trends and patterns within data sets.

    · Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    · Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting.

    · Minimum 2 years accounting experience.

    · Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) as well as various ERP systems. SAP and Quickbooks experience preferred.

    · Familiarity with standard accounting processes and best practices.

    · Ability to identify, visualize, and articulate complex problems and solutions.

    · Proactive and solutions oriented.

    · Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

    · Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.

    · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    · Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively.

    · Ability to collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders.

    · Ability to develop positive relationships with employees, business partners, and customers.

    · This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. This is largely a sedentary role and requires an ability to sit for long periods of time.
