Input Staffing is seeking an Operational Technology (OT) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a Navy client (Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC), N63 office) in the Washington, D.C. area.
The majority of the work will be performed in a virtual environment, but the incumbent will need to be near a Navy Regional Installation to check SIPR email 2-4 times per month. The position will require limited OCONUS and CONUS travel currently estimated at 4 trips per year.
The OT SME will:
- Support the application of principles, theories, and concepts for OT solutions found throughout the industrial environment. E.g., civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering, facility-related control systems, energy, transportation, utilities, critical infrastructure, public safety, telecommunications
- Provide expert support, analysis, and research into exceptionally complex problems and processes relating to OT
- Provide technical knowledge and analysis of complex challenges that require a SME for effective development and implementation of OT solutions
- Support working groups with other Headquarters program managers to ensure OT lifecycle and sustainment requirements are captured during project inception
- Serve as a technical expert on project teams providing technical direction, interpretation, and realistic alternatives
- Develop technical strategies to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
- Support OT supply chain risk management
- Synthesize complex challenges into executive briefs and decision papers
- Identify emerging risks and threats and support mitigation
- Support exercises and planning
- Support government led pre- and post-assessment and inspection activities
Minimum Qualifications:
All candidates must have a minimum of a Secret security clearance. A Master’s Degree is required for this position (note: a combination of other degrees, experience, certifications & training could be substituted).
- 15 years’ experience with distributed hardware, software and network communication elements used to control and monitor physical processes, electrical, and mechanical equipment
- Specialized experienced in Facility-Related Control Systems (FRCS); Transportation; Energy; 5G; Water; Unmanned; or industrial related systems
- Advanced knowledge of networks and communications protocols commonly used in OT such as MODBUS and BACnet
- Advanced knowledge in OT system lifecycle and sustainment
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Possess and maintain Secret clearance
