    Job Description

    Input Staffing is seeking a SOLUTIONS ENGINEER for a DIRECT HIRE opportunity with a growing cloud computing company in the RICHMOND, VA Area. This position is 100% REMOTE with occasional travel to the HQ in Richmond.

     

    Our growing cloud computing company is seeking a Solutions Engineer who will support Desktop Virtualization (Citrix primarily with new growth in Citrix & Windows Virtual Desktop) as well as level 3 service desk escalation support on our cutting-edge technical team. This individual will be assigned to a mixture of project and operational tasks within the organization based on quarterly business objectives and workloads. We are seeking an open-minded and ambitious individual who is creative and willing to think outside of the box. The applicant must be energetic, well-spoken, and open to learning new technologies.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Work directly with the PMO to implement designs for new customer on-boarding

    • Assist in discovery work to analyze existing customer environments
    • Document requirements for new Desktop designs delivered as a part of new customer onboarding, business continuity projects and customer enhancements.
    • Develop end state solutions for new customers under the direction of the Architect and Senior Engineers.

    Assist in the Citrix Cloud Service Provider infrastructure. Provide tier-2/3 support for Citrix, Microsoft Server Operating Systems, and Active Directory. Implement upgrades and enhancements to the Citrix and Microsoft Server infrastructure including patching, antivirus compliance and hosted applications. Collaborate with the Solutions Team to provision and decommission desktops and servers using standard templates and processes. Respond to monitoring/metering events to take proactive action in mitigating issues. Work directly with the Customer Success Team to develop and implement requested customer enhancements into Citrix deployed desktops. When requested work with Customer Success to analyze and mitigate problems identified through ticket analysis and/or customer facing service reviews. Develop and maintain technical documentation which will be used by both end-users and technical staff. As requested research new products, services and procedures which help the company become more efficient and profitable.  

    QUALIFICATIONS 

    • A four-year degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent education through actual work experience.
    • 2+ years of experience administering Citrix Presentation Server, XenApp, or XenDesktop, VMware View, or RDS/Terminal Services environments.
    • 3+ years of experience with Server 2008 - Server 2016, Active Directory, and Group Policy required.
    • Experience with VMware is a required.
    • Experience with HDX is a big plus.
    • Must be energetic, well-spoken, and open to learning new technologies.
    • Citrix Certifications are a big plus -- CCA, CCAA, CCEE, or CCIA
    • Microsoft Azure Certifications are a big plus.
