    Input Staffing is looking for Subject Matter Experts to provide specialized technical and staff support for the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Intelligence and Security) (OUSD(I&S)) Battlespace Awareness and Security Programs (BASP), Military Intelligence Program and Security Resources (MSR) Directorates, Director for Defense Intelligence (DDI) Intelligence and Security and Programs and Resources (ISPR) Headquarters (HQ) and the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Enterprise Capabilities (ISREC) Directorate.

    The work location for these positions is at the Pentagon Arlington, Virginia; Crystal City, Virginia; and/or other government sites within the National Capital Region.

    This position works in support of DI2E, which is the USDI initiative to deliver the BA architecture components of the integrated DoD Information Enterprise Architecture

     

    Duties and Responsibilities for the DI2E Subject Matter expert include:

    • Providing scientific, engineering, technical and administrative expertise, analysis, policy guidance, and programmatic recommendations on planning, programming, budgeting and executing matters concerning the DI2E. T
    • Offering expertise in the sub-elements of the BA Joint Capability Area: Planning and Direction; Collection; Processing/Exploitation; Analysis, Prediction and Production; and BA Data Dissemination and Relay.
    • Analysis of the relationship and recommend solutions for integrating the DI2E with other architectures within DoD, (e.g. Force Support, Command and Control (C2), Force Application, Logistics, Net-Centric, Protection, Building Partnerships and Corporate Management Support).
    • Execute projects specifically targeted towards integrating the DI2E with the Intelligence Community (IC), International Partner architectures, other government agencies, combatants at the tactical edge and state and local architectures.
      • Deliver objective assessments of current and emerging capabilities in support of the government’s efforts to transition capabilities from overseas contingencies operations to DoD programs of record.
      • Provide expertise to various working groups associated with major Enterprise acquisition programs, to evaluate, and develop alternatives and options to design and develop common open- architecture DI2E framework, recommend updates to the Defense Intelligence Strategy, CIG, Military Intelligence Congressional Justification Book (CJB) and other military intelligence related documents.
      • Prepare analytical and special reports and graphic presentations for use by senior DoD authorities to refine OUSD(I&S) policy as structured around the DoD programming and budgeting cycle, preparing testimony in response to congressional inquiries and appeals to congressional budget marks, and analyzing the development and promulgation of interface/format standards within ISR Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination-related systems and activities.
      • Assist in the coordination and staffing that supports the daily execution of the overall ISR Enterprise Program portfolio and ensures consistent OUSD(I&S) positions with Service, Joint and OSD staffs across affected functional areas.

         

      • Assess current and planned advanced query and correlation systems to determine where duplication can be eliminated, how systems can be expanded, or integrated with enterprise
      • Identify current and planned enterprise query and correlation capabilities which operate on large centralized databases that are deployed or to be deployed in elements of the DI2E
      • Provide expert recommendations on enterprise and franchised data brokering capabilities of the Common Data Fabric, data providers, data sources, security, access, and sharing policies.

         

        Position Qualifications and Requirements:

      • An active Top Secret security clearance with current Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility is required for this role. Jobseekers who do not possess an active Top Secret security clearance with current SCI eligibility will not be considered
      • Bachelor’s degree is required, master’s preferred. Preference for engineering, systems engineering, or engineering management.
      • Solid knowledge of Service Oriented Architectures, Cloud / Distributed Computing Technologies, National and DoD Security Accreditation policies, practices and procedures and thin/thick client-server architectures.
      • In-depth knowledge of the Distributed Common Ground / Surface Systems (DCGS) operated by the military services and USSOCOM, and its integration with architectures above and below the joint task force level, to include coalition capabilities and operations.
      • Possess extensive knowledge of how ISR collectors interoperate with DCGS and other elements of the DI2E, especially airborne collectors (e.g. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, U- 2, Global Hawk, RC-135, etc.)
      • Effective verbal and written communications with senior government/ industry civilians and senior military officers, e.g. O-6 and above is a must.
      • Must be capable of articulating the DoD intelligence position in community forums to effectively advocate and defend key policies, positions, and resources.
      • TS/SCI
