  • Responsibilities

    The Human Resource Manager will manage the routine functions of the companies Human Resources including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
    • Manages the recruiting process through our Applicant Tracking System.
    • Administers the distribution of Onboarding and Termination paperwork.
    • Assist management with the hiring process, including drafting offer letters for CEO.
    • Enters and maintains employee data into Deltek Costpoint.
    • Assists in managing / administering benefits programs.
    • Administers and manages the annual Professional Employee Review Process.
    • Facilitates Open Enrollment
    • Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
    • Creates and maintains employee Job descriptions that are consistent with contract labor categories and EEO and FLSA categories.
    • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
    • Manages required training programs
    • Assists in setting up employee disciplinary meetings, managing termination paperwork.
    • Assists in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance .
    • Maintains the Employee Handbook
    • Maintains knowledge of, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
    • Keeps executive management and supervisors/managers apprised of potential risks in individual areas of responsibility.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, , or related field required.
    • A minimum of seven (7) years of human resource management experience required..
    • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.
    • Experience with a Defense company highly preferred.
