Input Technology Solutions is seeking qualified candidates to assist in the modernization of the Automated Maritime System (AMS) that produces authoritative data products for the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) that are used throughout the Defense and Intelligence Communities.
We provide Solution and Data Engineering services to ONI in the form of refactoring and system/data migration from aged on-premise platforms to cloud infrastructures through Agile delivery and a DevSecOps CI/CD software factory. The focus of this effort is to facilitate AMS becoming cloud native, data-centric, and aligned and effective in supporting users in the delivery of mission objectives.
Job Description:
Looking for a talented and motivated Data Engineer with system/data migration experience in both on-premise and cloud environments that is passionate about technology and the Intelligence mission to join our team! This individual will work as part of an agile software development team that translates operational needs into technical and data specifications, that are then transformed into a refactored cloud native, data-centric, AMS ultimately focused on delivering maritime and intelligence mission users the Marine Domain Awareness information and reporting to meet mission objectives. A successful applicant will be someone who has the experience and knowledge to drive data-centric requirements generation along with data architecture, mapping, and migration to a phased MOSA, microservices modernized realization.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, and data mining
3+ years of experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis
Experience with data visualizations tools like Tableau, Qlik Sense, and/or open-source visualization libraries (Plotly, Seaborn, ggplot2)
Experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources
Familiarity, ideally experience, in developing data-centric architectures and the realization of data lakes, data warehouses, and data stores of structured, unstructured, graph, and other database constructs, accessed through Data APIs
Familiarity, ideally experience, in the realization and implications of data lineage, data provenance, field level security and other compliance factors identified in recent IC/DoD data compliance guidance
Demonstrated experience of successful data migration in a moderately complex environment from requirements/intent capture through the delivery of clean, accurate, ready-for-purpose use migrated and validated data
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics OR equivalently related work experience
DoD IAT Level II Certification (per DoD 8570.01)
TS/SCI Clearance

Relevant certification for Data Analysis, Data Engineering, or ML Data Science
Experience with Agile, SCRUM project management methodology
Experience with AWS cloud services
Strong oral and written communication skills
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and will need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Ability to obtain and maintain a TS clearance, eligible for SCI is the project standard; however, there are also opportunities for those who currently are able or have a Secret clearance with an ability to obtain and maintain TS / SCI.
