    Insero Talent Solutions has partnered with a industry leading and rapidly growing distribution company in Rochester to recruit a Supply Chain Supervisor.

    Position Summary:

    The Supply Chain Supervisor will be responsible for supporting manufacturing by managing, evaluating, negotiating, and sourcing raw materials globally. Developing and maintaining demand forecasts for all finished goods. Creating production schedules for all contract manufacturing facilities ensuring product availability. Coordinate the introduction of new products and packaging. Maintains plant operations by identifying and fulfilling materials requirements.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Developing supplier relationships by establishing standards, conducting site visits, monitoring compliance and negotiating prices.
    • Sustaining competitive product pricing by negotiating material costs; identifying new suppliers.
    • Produce ingredients by monitoring production plan, schedule, quantities produced, inventory, and placing orders and expediting deliveries.
    • Control, update, and maintain specification database.
    • Maintaining optimal inventory levels by developing production schedules for all contract manufacturing partners based on forecasts, capacities, raw materials, availability, price, and quality.
    • Coordinating with logistics to provide updated and detailed information on raw materials and finished products.
    • Developing plans by analyzing and interpreting data; making comparable analyses and recommending options and courses of action.
    • Identifying buying patterns by researching buying activities, inputting buying data and economic indicators.
    • Drive purchasing function to ensure quality, cost and uninterrupted supply of key materials and finished goods.
    • Other duties as assigned by management.

    Requirements:

    • An Associates or Bachelors Degree in Business or a related field along with 4-7 years of experience.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate with a variety of people and personalities.
    • Highly proficient with Microsoft applications, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and ERP Systems.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of demand planning, forecasting and production scheduling.
    • Ability to analyze complex data sets and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
    • Experience with international supplies and/or contract.
