    Insero Talent Solutions has partnered with an industry-leading development company in Rochester to recruit a Director, Corporate Tax & Financial Reporting.

    Position Summary:

    The Director, Corporate Tax and Financial Reporting will report directly to the CFO and is a key business partner to the executive leadership team. The Corporate Controller will be leading and managing accounting and finance functions for the Company, including financial reporting and consolidations, income tax and compliance, managing 704 B capital accounts, estates, and asset management.

    The Director, Corporate Tax & Financial Reporting will create and maintain internal controls related to consolidations and income tax along with planning strategies.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Overseeing preparation and presentation of financial statement in compliance with US GAAP and providing accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making processes.
    • Directing and overseeing consolidations process for reporting and tax purposes and ensuring compliance with US GAAP and tax regulations.
    • Creating and implementing income tax planning strategies to improve the Company’s tax position.
    • Staying well-informed of changes in tax laws and regulations and assessing their impact on the Company.
    • Collaborating with external tax advisors ensuring accurate and timely filing of all required tax returns.
    • Tracking and maintaining 704 B capital accounts and collaborating with cross-functional teams ensuring accurate recording and reporting of capital transactions.
    • Creating and maintaining strong internal controls related to income tax and consolidation accounting.
    • Performing periodic audits ensuring compliance with internal controls procedures.

    Requirements:

    • BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA is required.
    • 6+ years of experience in a management role; income tax, partnerships, and consolidation accounting experience are required.
    • Vast knowledge of US GAAP and tax laws and regulations.
    • Proficient knowledge of 704 capital accounts and related tracking processes.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Effectively communicate complex financial models to all levels of stakeholders.
    • Highly proficient in accounting software and Microsoft applications, including Excel.
