    Insero Talent Solutions is recruiting a Senior Benefits Analyst for a fast growing utilities company in Rochester, NY.

    JOB SUMMARY: Under supervision, the Senior Benefits Analyst will collect, compile, and analyze HR data, metrics, and statistics to employee benefits and leave. Trains new staff and current staff on new policies, procedures, and HRIS System.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    • Acts as point of contact with vendors & HRIS Analyst in reporting and resolving issues, ANSI file feeds, etc.
    • Prepare and create current benefit reports & census for plan audits, insurance carriers, benefit broker, and management.
    • Facilitates implementation of new leave programs, benefits plans, and other related initiatives with Broker, Vendors, HRIS Analyst and benefits team.
    • Prepare announcements materials, gathering plan summary documents, updating Flimp postcard, benefits video, SharePoint and UKG portal for communication plans for employees.
    • Acts as primary participant on development projects to ensure successful and timely completion and accurate representation of health benefits system needs.
    • Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.
    • Responsible for updating the life events portal as needed with new vendor plans, rates, benefit groups and language.
    • Responsible for preparing the end of year Open Enrollment website, working with vendors on rates and communication material to employees and auditing OE after close.
    • Leads internal department training sessions to provide updates for annual enrollment, and other HRIS enhancements.
    • Documents and implements procedures, audits, and reporting.
    • Coordinates organizational training and development efforts.
    • Administer ACA monthly entries, yearly audits, and 1095-C form mailings.
    • Trains staff in benefit policies and procedures.
    • Leads and supports team members with systems, including HRIS and Absence Soft.
    • Assist benefits administrator with various end of year vendor audits (HSA, Excellus, VSP, Delta, Cobra, Hartford, Aetna) to ensure compliance.
    • Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws, involving HR, and benefits administration.
    • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.


    ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

     

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree plus 3-5 years benefits related experience.
    • A High School diploma or an associate degree in human resources management plus 10 years benefits related experience.


    TECHNOLOGY, EQUIPMENT & TOOLS:

    • Proficient with standard office equipment i.e., computer, phones, scanner, fax, and copier.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, must have Excel, and V-look up experience.
    • Advanced HRIS benefit platform experience.
    • UKG experience preferred.
    • Absence Soft experience preferred.
