Insero Talent Solutions has partnered exclusively with a growing manufacturing company to recruit a Controller in Rochester, NY.  

Job Summary: The Controller will be responsible for preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, oversite of bank reconciliations, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. You will be responsible for internal reporting during the monthly close. In addition, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors and tax accountants as required. This role also involves the production of Financial Statements, P&L and Cash Flow projections, and Budgets along with supporting process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Lead month end closing process, preparing journal entries for approval and investigating variances,
• Preparation and analysis of financial results and balance sheets,
• Review account reconciliations and support the annual audit,
• Development of data-driven, fact-based information to support productivity improvements,
• Sustain and improve internal control environment,
• Preparation of the budget and forecasts,
• Participate in various special projects,
• Oversight of AR, and AP.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, progress toward or completion of CMA or CPA preferred,
• 5-7 years of relevant manufacturing accounting or finance experience,
• Must be proficient in all MS Office programs, with advanced skills in Excel and Access,
• Demonstrate analytical and organizational skills,
• Possess strong prioritization skills, flexibility, and ability to multi-task,
• Ability to work with deadlines and a changing environment,
• Experience using Epicor or similar ERP a plus,
• Knowledge of Continuous improvement and 5S a plus.
