Job Title: Technical Writer

Overview:

We are currently seeking a Technical Writer to join our Product Development Group to implement and document the next generation of Videk vision products. In this position you will work closely with an experienced and diverse team of hardware and software developers to analyze complex product information and document in simple manuals and guides that meet our customer’s requirements. Hybrid office and work from home schedule is available for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Develop hardware installation guides, service manuals, quick start guides, and software manuals.
• Develop deep understanding of products
• Write documents that are appropriate for the target audience
• Gather information from the software, hardware, and service teams
• Maintain repository of manuals
• Manage multilingual documents, work with translation services
• Provide feedback to design team to improve product usability

Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree in technical field or equivalent experience
• Experience as technical writer
• Good general mechanical, electrical, and software knowledge
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• MadCap Flare
• Siemens Solid Edge
