    Insero Talent Solutions has partnered with a growing manufacturing company to recruit a Senior Engineer, Cable & Harness in Rochester, NY.

    Overview

    The primary technical interface between the customer base and the international facility and harness manufacturing center of excellence. Responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation and fit for all harness opportunities. Working in conjunction with manufacturing and engineering as the product advocate, must be able to identify and provide reliable technical and manufacturing guidance to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the opportunity evaluation, quoting and manufacturing processes.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain expert level of application and product knowledge for engineered harnessing primarily in the Aerospace and Medical product areas.
    • Travel to center of excellence to assist in harness product design, test and introduction to the manufacturing environment.
    • Articulate technology and product positioning to business, technical and manufacturing stakeholders.
    • Provide design, specification and manufacturing development support to customer and internal stakeholders.
    • Working closely with Sales and Product Management, respond to technical and commercial elements of all customer RFQ’s/RFP’s.
    • Understand and convey customer requirements to internal stakeholders.
    • Travel to customers and prospects to cultivate new harness opportunities.
    • Attend industry tradeshows to promote design and manufacturing capabilities.
    • Resolve customer issues and questions in a manner consistent with strategy of maintaining world class customer satisfaction.
    • Develop and maintain professional relationships at target accounts.
    • Manage all existing harness projects and provide updates to company leadership at prescribed intervals.

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience:

    • BS degree in engineering and equivalent successful experience (5+ years) in technical roles featuring successful execution of wiring harness projects (Required).
    • US Citizenship (required).
    • Ability to travel internationally when necessary (required).
    • Proficient in MS Office
    • Ability to read and interpret technical prints and specifications.
